Challenge ——————————

Growing up, I was confused

My mom came from a poor background and was working 3 different jobs at the same time just before she quit to become a full-time mom. Her siblings were bakers, government workers, and artists. Everyone seemed happy but weren’t incredibly wealthy.

My dad’s family was very entrepreneurial-minded. He was a self-made electrician that managed to provide for his family of 3 boys and wife with his repair shop for over three decades. His busy schedule left very little time to spend with us. He worked 6 days a week. What never sat right with me was why he was the only one of his ten siblings that didn’t become some sort of medical specialist.

In my pursuit of prosperity, freedom, and significance - I worked many jobs. I was a barista, had some success in retail, handled the phones as a help desk agent like a boss, and s erved hundreds of professionals with my tech and admin skills - all while studying to become a dentist. The dream of making lots of money while cleaning other people’s teeth died very quickly after a brief internship with an Orthodontist. I knew after those two weeks; this wasn’t the profession for me. I ended up getting a cushy managerial job at my University. I made good money. I met a plethora of amazing people - yet I still felt unfulfilled.

Fulcrum —————————

In 2015, I lost myself completely

I experienced my highest high when I was offered the job of my dreams in Thailand and got married. I also went through the lowest low shortly after relocating. I was fired from my job, fell into depression, lost all self-worth, developed adult acne, and gained 10 kilos.

One day, I was out to lunch with my friend, Yang - yes, as in the ubiquitous light swirl portion of the yin-yang symbol rooted in Chinese religion and philosophy that represents brightness, passion, and growth.

Lucky for me, he happened to be a Life Coach versed in the art of Neuro-Linguistic Programming. At the time, coaching wasn’t part of my vocabulary. Heck! I had no clue what a coach did or if it was even a real profession. After one conversation, I was blown away. The possibilities were endless, the fulfilment was bountiful and the impact could never be ignored.

Calling ————————————

Then, I found my Ikigai, my reason for being

Feeling fully recovered and transformed, it clicked. Everything came into focus.

This is when I found my calling as a Coach.

Who knew that one day, my timeless passions for; people, service, creative arts, music, business, personal development and productivity - could all be combined into what is now my boutique coaching practice.

Now, I get to help others; find clarity, achieve impossible goals, create happiness and wealth without feeling overwhelmed, stressed, and anxious.

In many ways, I get to help others find their Yang (light) to their Yin (darkness).
